So I figured that since I talk up the Marvel Adventures Avengers series so much, I may as well spread the love so everyone can see what I’m talking about, right? Basically, this is part of a “for kid’s line” but the stories are actually very funny, heartwarming and just generally enjoyable on all fronts. It really places a lot of emphasis on the team dynamic and shows everyone not just fighting evil but playing basketball and going shopping. You don’t have to be super familiar with anyone to read them, either. Just pick up an issue and you’re pretty much good. It’s probably one of my favorite series ever and I’m so sad that it ended.

If you like this, I’d recommend pretty much all of the other Marvel Adventures line, especially the Spider-man volumes. Let me know if there are issues with any of these, I can try to reupload them!

BATMAN: The Long Halloween [ pdf | cbr ]

A 13-issue comic book limited series written by Jeph Loeb with art by Tim Sale. It was originally published by DC Comics in 1996 and 1997.  Taking place during Batman’s early days of crime fighting, The Long Halloween tells the story of a mysterious killer named Holiday, who murders people on holidays, one each month. Working with District Attorney Harvey Dent and Lieutenant James Gordon, Batman races against the calendar as he tries to discover who Holiday is before he claims his next victim each month. The story also ties into the events that transform Harvey Dent into Batman’s enemy, Two-Face. In continuity terms, The Long Halloween continues the story of Batman: Year One. It also revolves around the transition of Batman’s rogues gallery from simple mob goons to full-fledged supervillains. It also tells the origin of Two-Face, adding along to the story in Batman: Annual #14.

Born out of clay on Paradise Island to the race of Amazons, Diana was given beauty and a kind heart from Aphrodite, wisdom from Athena, strength and endurance from Demeter, hunting instincts and animal-communication from Artemis, and speed and flight from Hermes to fight against evil in all of its forms. A founding member of the Justice League of America and a member of DC’s Trinity, she’s a princess, a warrior and an ambassador to the world of man send to spread their idealistic message of strength and love.
For everyone who wanted to read about Diana but didn’t know where to start, this is the post for you. Here are most of the fan-favorite WW arcs published since 1985.
All comics are in order and separated by arc in zip files. If you are not used to reading comics on your computer, you should get CDisplay for Windows or FFView for Mac to read the .cbz files or you can always unzip them and get the .jpgs
Wonder Woman volume 2After the Crisis on Infinite Earths series, George Pérez, Len Wein, and Greg Potter relaunched the character, writing Diana as an emissary and ambassador from Themyscira to Patriarch’s World, charged with the mission of bringing peace to the outside world.

George Perez’s run: Wonder Woman: Gods and Mortals - (#1-7) || Wonder Woman: Challenge of the Gods - (#8-14) || Wonder Woman: Beauty and the Beasts - (#15-19) || Wonder Woman: Destiny Calling - (#20-24) ||Bill Messner-Loebs’ run: Wonder Woman: The Contest - (#90-93) || Wonder Woman: The Challenge of Artemis - (#94-100) || Phil Jimenez’s run:  Wonder Woman: Paradise Lost - (#164-170) || Wonder Woman: Paradise Found - (#171-177) ||Greg Rucka’s run: Wonder Woman: Down to Earth - (#195-200) || Wonder Woman: Bitter Rivals - (#201-205) || Wonder Woman: Eyes of the Gorgon - (#206-213) || Wonder Woman: Land of the Dead - (#214-217) || Wonder Woman: Mission’s End - (#218-226) || In my humble opinion, this run is a MUST read.

Wonder Woman volume 3 Following after Infinite Crisis, Wonder Woman was canceled and relaunched in 2006. It starts with Donna Troy as Wonder Woman and with Diana missing. When Diana returns she takes on the name of Diana Prince and becomes a secret agent for the Department of Metahuman Affairs. Her first assignment is to retrieve her kidnapped sister Donna Troy. After this was accomplished Diana took back the mantle of Wonder Woman.

Why aren’t you reading Cable & Deadpool?

Honestly, if you want to start reading Deadpool comics, I’d start here. While Deadpool Classic is completely awesome, I recommend reading Cable & Deadpool first because of its compelling storylines, (mostly) aesthetically pleasing artwork, and because the dynamic between Cable and Deadpool is flawless. I also just like it better. It’s got humor, it’s got action, it’s got great writing - it’s got everything you could ask for in a comic book series! Read it. Like, now.
*All links are .zip files hosted at MegaUpload. If you have any questions regarding the links or even the comics themselves, feel free to drop me a line in my ask box.

Nightwing: Year One is a six-issue story told in issues #101-106 in the 114-issue Nightwing comic.

The story starts off with Batman firing Dick Grayson from the job of Robin. Didn’t think superheroes could get fired? Think again. See how Dick deals now that he’s no longer the Boy Wonder, as he gets advice from Superman and meets his new replacement, Jason Todd. Most importantly, see how Dick Grayson became Nightwing.

DOWNLOAD
Click here to download all six issues (or chapters, if you will) in one file. You will need WinRAR or Winzip.
To download each issue individually:
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6
** Most comic files are in either .cbr or .cbz, so you will need a reader in order to—well,—read them. For PC, I suggest either Comical or Coview. For MAC, I recommend FFView. **

Civil War is a 2006-2007 Marvel Comics crossover storyline built around a self-titled seven-issue limited series written by Mark Millar and penciled by Steve McNiven, which ran through various other titles published by Marvel at the time. The storyline builds upon the events that developed in previous Marvel crossovers, particularly Avengers Disassembled, House of M, Decimation, and Secret War.

The premise of Civil War involves the introduction of a Superhuman Registration Act (SHRA) in the United States. The act requires any person in the United States with superhuman abilities to register with the federal government as a “human weapon of mass destruction,” reveal their true identity to the authorities, and undergo proper training.Characters within the superhuman community in the Marvel Universe split into two groups: one advocating the registration as a responsible obligation, and the other opposing the law on the grounds that it violates civil liberties and the protection that secret identities provide.
